Q: If I received an Ameda® HygieniKit® in the hospital - can I use it with my Mya™ Joy Pump?
A: The HygieniKit® that you received in the hospital is mostly compatible with your Mya™ Joy pumping kit. All CustomFit flanges, containers/lids and tubing from your Ameda® hospital kit can be used with the Mya™ Joy. The diaphragm and valve pieces in the Joy are slightly different from those used in your HygieniKit® so we recommend that you only use the diaphragm and valves that come with your Mya™ Joy pump. Two new sets of valves and diaphragms come with each Mya™ Joy pump.
Q: Does the Mya™ Joy have a battery option?
A: Yes. The Mya™ Joy has an internal battery compartment that requires 4 AA batteries.
Q How long does Ameda® Mya™ Joy breast pump last in battery mode?
A: The Ameda® Mya™ Joy has an option to use 4x AA batteries that can provide up to two hours of pumping time on a single charge. We would recommend the use of rechargeable batteries.
