Q: How long should I pump with Medela Harmony®?
A: The smaller pump handle is used first for stimulation for about 2 – 3 minutes. The longer pump handle is used afterward for milk expression for about 15 – 20 minutes.

A: Use the short side of the handle first at a fast pace to stimulate milk flow. This is called the stimulation phase. Use the long side to extract your milk when you see the breast milk flowing. This is called the expression phase.
