Q: I've heard that the ResMed AirMini™ doesn't support all ResMed masks? Which masks are compatible with it?
A: Yes this is true. The following masks are compatible:

• ResMed AirFit™ P10 Mask Pack for ResMed AirMini™ Travel CPAP
• ResMed AirFit™ N30 Nasal mask with Headgear
• ResMed AirFit™ N20 mask
• ResMed AirFit™ N20 For Her Nasal mask with Headgear
• ResMed AirFit™ F20 Full Face Mask with Headgear
• ResMed AirTouch™ F20 Memory Foam Full Face Mask with Headgear
• ResMed AirTouch™ F20 For Her Memory Foam Full Face Mask with Headgear

The reason for this is that the tubing for the ResMed AirMini™ is different from the standard 22m of almost every other CPAP machine to accommodate having a connector to store the HumidX™ filter which makes it a proprietary fitting. The Setup Packs required for your specific ResMed mask can be found here.

Q: Do the ResMed set up packs come with masks?
A: Only the ResMed AirFit N30 and AirFit P10 set up packs come with a mask. Please be advised that only the ResMed N30 and P10 Masks that comes with the set up packs can be used with the ResMed AirMini™ CPAP machine. If you already have a P10 mask, it will not work due to proprietary connections required by the ResMed AirMini™.

Q: I'm new to CPAP machines in general. What does it mean if the ResMed AirMini™ has a fixed pressure mode?
A: The fixed pressure mode is when this CPAP machine delivers consistent airflow pressure throughout the night, which is set and adjusted by your doctor.

Q: I see that the ResMed AirMini™ supports HumidX™ and HumidX™ Plus? What does this mean?
A: This actually means that you do not need to carry around a bulky humidifier on your travels. As the system is completely waterless, HumidX™ and HumidX™ Plus are small heat and moisture exchanger cartridges which are extremely simple to use. The HumidX™ cartridge is the size of a quarter and uses technology that when you exhale, it captures heat and moisture which is stored within its tiny paper ridges. When you inhale, this heat and moisture are released to humidify the air that you breathe in. Follow this link to see how simple it is to use this. No washing is required and these filters are good for use up to a month.

Q: How easy is it to change the HumidX™ or HumidX™ Plus cartridges?
A: It is very easy to replace the cartridges. Please view this video to see how simple it really is.

Q: What does the AutoSet™ feature do on the ResMed AirMini™?
A: The AutoSet™ feature is basically an auto-adjusting mode that changes airflow pressure throughout the night based on your sleep needs and patterns. Another feature/mode included with the ResMed AirMini™ is the AutoSet™ for Her feature. Women in general tend to have less severe obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) than men, with a lower apnea-hypopnea index (AHI) and shorter apneas or hypopneas. The ResMed AirMini™ caters for this too by adjusting to the correct airflow pressure for women in this mode.

Q: Is the ResMed AirMini™ auto-adjusting?
A: Yes, it auto-adjusts pressure throughout the night to best fit your needs based on breathing patterns ensuring that you get the best possible sleep.

Q: How often do I need to replace my ResMed setup pack?
A: It is recommended that ResMed setup packs be replaced once every six (6) months.

Q: Can I use this device all the time or as a replacement for my regular CPAP machine?
A: As the ResMed AirMini™ is designed to be used as a portable, travel CPAP device, and while it delivers the same effective air pressure as a full sized regular CPAP, it is not designed to withstand daily use. With this in mind, continuous daily use is possible but not recommended.

Q: Is the ResMed AirMini™ FAA (Federal Airline Administration) approved for use in-flight?
A: Yes, it is approved by the FAA and can be used up to 30,000 feet up in the air.
