Spectra® Single Wide Breast Flange for Spectra® Breast Pumps
The Spectra® Wide Breast Flange is made from high quality materials and construction is durable and long lasting. This product is easy to use and provides optimal comfort while breast pumping and is ideal for moms who suffer from sensitive nipples and pain during breastfeeding.
If you are double pumping, you will need a second flange and possible other kit parts as well. Should you require any further replacement parts apart from the flanges, we advise that you checkout the Spectra® Wide Breast Flange Kit which includes not only the breast flange but also the backflow protector, the duckbill valve and additional tubing.
Spectra® recommends replacing the entire flange (and additional parts if needed) every 3-6 months for optimal use against wear and tear and safety from bacteria.

This Spectra® single breast shield is strategically constructed to provide efficient pumping sessions with maximum comfort in mind. The funnel centers over your nipple and creates a seal around the areola where milk can be extracted, ensuring that suction will not leak when the milk is being pulled into another container or part of the machine during the extraction process.
For moms who are breast pumping, the Spectra® Breast Shield can be a life-saving device. It's easy to clean and safe to use for you or your baby as it is manufactured without BPA. If one shield isn't enough but two are needed because of double pumping, then go ahead with this purchase - they'll work fantastic as replacement parts too.
This can be convenient and ideal for busy or on-the-go moms as you can leave this breast flange at a strategic place such as the office, your in-laws home or wherever you prefer, which also allows less parts to be carried and provides more convenience for mothers while traveling.
This product includes 1x Spectra® Single Breast Flange and is compatible for use with the Spectra® S1, S2, SG, and 9 Plus Breast Pumps and can also be used for Spectra® Wide Neck Bottles.
Please note that if you are planning on double pumping, you will require two of these.

Q: What breast pumps work with the Spectra® Wide Breast Flange?
A: The breast pumps that are compatible with this breast shield are the Spectra® S2, S1, S9, M1 Breast Pumps as well as wide neck bottles.
Q: In what sizes are these Spectra® Wide Breast Flanges available?
A: They come in the following sizes. 24mm which is considered as medium sized, 28mm which is large and finally 32mm which can be classified as extra large. The breast flange generally needs to be 3-5mm larger than your nipple diameter for optimal fit. We have added a link for your convenience to a breast flange sizing chart that can assist you with proper size selection.
A: If your nipple rubs the sides of the tunnel or feels uncomfortable and looks red or irritated, this means that the breast flange is probably too small.
Signs that the flange is too large include a large part of your areola being pulled into the flange or the nipple turning white or red in color during use.
In general when your breast flange size is the correct size , your nipple should be centered in the tunnel and able to freely move in and out of it. It should be the same as your baby’s natural suckling pattern, a gentle motion. It should not feel painful and you shouldn’t be experiencing cut off blood flow. If it does, then you definitely have the wrong size.
