Simple and Easy Set up
Setting up this excellent breast pump is a breeze. We have included a short two-minute video demonstrating the process. Once you have watched the video and have become accustomed to setting up your device, you should be able to quickly assemble your breast pump in under 30 seconds.
Pumping and Suction Options
All mother’s are unique in their own way and what a breastfeeding parent needs in terms of suction may vary greatly from the needs of another. It is also a common fact that every pumping session can be a little different each time, which can sometimes lead to an uncomfortable or painful experience. To help with this, the Ameda® Mya™ offers 10 different expression modes and 5 levels of massage. You can even vary pumping levels on each breast during the same dual pumping session. Even though the pump itself may be small, its suction capacity is 280Hg mm which is enough to get you through a pumping session quickly so that you can get back to your life and baby by shortening the amount of time required while offering you a unique breast pumping experience.
True Closed system
The Ameda® Mya™ has a “true closed protection system” which means that there are barriers built into the system preventing milk from backing up where it shouldn’t. This allows every last drop accumulated during your pumping session to make it into your baby’s bottle ensuring maximum nutrition for your little one.
Quick and Easy Cleaning
There is no boiling or disinfecting required for every separate piece of your Ameda® Mya™ breast pump. Instead, you simply need to rinse out the parts where your milk came in contact with under cool water before washing them off with soap and warm water, rinsing them, and setting them out to air dry. This is largely due to the truly closed system which prevents your milk from backing up and contaminating areas it shouldn’t, you will only have a few pieces to wash after every session. Larger pieces of your breast pump can even be washed in the dishwasher if time is of an issue but we do recommend air drying.
Battery life expectancy
The rechargeable battery lasts up to two hours between charges, which is more than enough to get through a normal work day. In case of emergency, you can always fall back on plugging into a power outlet as you pump when needed or to recharge between pumping sessions.
